As the Children’s Centre Co-ordinator I organise and oversee the Centres activity programme on a daily basis. I liaise with a wide range of professionals who deliver services both within the centre and the local community.

I work with families in the school and the Centre, offering practical help and emotional support.

I support parents and carers in acquiring and refreshing parenting and home management skills (including Triple P – Positive Parenting Programme).

We run the Toddler Groups, singing groups and crèches and are available to offer help and support within the groups around all aspects of parenting and family issues.

We carry out home visits and work with parents and their children working with the Parents as Partners in Early Learning Programme.

Shahanara runs baby club for babies from 0-18 months.

We provide a crèche for parents who attend a variety of courses within the Centre. When children attend for a longer period we record their progress in Special Books.

We provide a daily Toddler Group for under 5’s. We welcome parents, grandparents and all carers to bring their children.

We offer a children’s library with dual language books and a toy library.

I provide training for childminders.

I offer a Drop in session for childminders and their children.

I support and monitor Ofsted registered childminders.

I provide a link between our centre and other childminder provision and services.
