Health Event
On Thursday 7th February the Children’s Centre held a ‘Health Event’. The event offered range of information and support for families on a multitude of health issues including: oral health, diabetes, maintaining heart health and mental health.
One of the stalls suggested how we can all improve our health by ‘Eating the Rainbow’, which means including fruits and vegetables of all the colours of the rainbow when cooking and preparing food.
The health event brought together various services offered by St. Stephen’s Children’s Centre in conjunction with professionals and support groups that we work with. The health visitors were present to provide information about immunisations; and Newham Leisure provided support on how to access the opportunities available at the Local Authority swimming pools and gymnasiums.
