Physical Curriculum Day 2024
On Wednesday 13th November, we held a fantastic Physical Curriculum Day at nursery. We began the session with our sponsored walk. The children and parents did an incredible job of walking six laps around the garden - well done, children! They also raised over £600 for the nursery - what an incredible achievement! Thank you for all of your generosity.
After our walk, the children took part in a range of activities which focused on their physical development. The gross motor activities included wheelbarrow races, tug of war, football, climbing, dancing, yoga and bowling. We also had an array of fine motor activities including playing with playdough and clay, threading, scooping lentils and making potions with pestles and mortars.
The Children's Centre team were on hand to talk about the importance of eating a healthy diet. The children all got stuck in and it was amazing to have such a fantastic turn out from the parents. We hope that everyone now understands the importance of children being active for their mental and physical health. Thank you for coming!
