Physical Curriculum Day
On Wednesday 12th November, we held a fantastic Physical Curriculum Day at nursery. We began the session with a walk around the garden to get our heart rates up.
After our walk, the children took part in a range of activities which focused on their physical development. The gross motor activities included wheelbarrow races, tug of war, football, climbing, dancing, yoga and bowling.
We also had an array of fine motor activities including playing with playdough and clay, threading, scooping lentils and making potions with pestles and mortars.
The Children's Centre team were on hand to talk about the importance of eating a healthy diet and looking after our teeth. Every child received a new toothbrush to take home.
The children all got stuck in and it was amazing to have such a fantastic turn out from the parents. We hope that everyone now understands the importance of children being active for their mental and physical health.
Thank you for coming!
